A very vintage cookbook from a very famous American company in good condition.
Vintage Metropolitan Cook Book!
This cookbook was published by the
Metropolitan Life Insurance Company!
(today better known as
MetLife!
) The cookbook is identified as the
February 1948
edition. This is a 56 page softcover book measuring about 7¾” x 5¼”. The cookbook has many recipes including Beverages, Cereals, Quick Breads, Muffins, Biscuits, Griddle Cakes, Yeast Breads, Rolls, Cakes, Frostings & Fillings, Cookies, Soups, Fish, Meat, Poultry, Leftover Meats, Meat & Vegetable Sauces, Eggs, Cheese Dishes, Meat Alternates, Vegetables, Salads & Dressings, Puddings, Dessert Sauces, and Pastry. As shown in the photos, the cookbook is in very good condition for its age with little cover wear. The book is complete and remains securely stapled from its cover to its centerfold. It has nice clean pages with no writing, creases, rips or tears. This vintage Metropolitan Cookbook would make for an excellent  addition to your collection!
